Lakers never involved in potential three-way trades with Knicks, Jazz

Los Angeles appears "sincere" in reticence to attach future draft picks to Russell Westbrook's contract

It has been reported that Knicks and Jazz explored potential three-way trade deals around Donovan Mitchell, but those ideas never included the Los Angeles Lakers as reported by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. The only trade scenario that the Lakers appear to have seriously entertained involving Westbrook and future draft picks was for Kyrie Irving when he was potentially available from the Brooklyn Nets

The Knicks would have likely had to send out Evan Fournier to a third team to make the math work in a RJ Barrett version of the trade
