The Los Angeles Lakers announced on Saturday that LeBron James, their star player, has been upgraded from “out” to “doubtful” for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. James has been out of action for the past 13 games after suffering a tendon injury in his right foot on February 26th. He has been working out three times a day to prepare himself for a comeback. During James’ absence, the Lakers have gone 8-5 and reached .500 for the first time this season with a win over Oklahoma City on Friday. The team has climbed to No. 8 in the Western Conference standings. James has missed a total of 27 games this season due to injury, which is tied for the most games he has missed in a season in his career. Lakers coach Darvin Ham said on Friday that James’ rehabilitation process is progressing normally, and he is doing the work needed to fully recover his foot.
