Jonathan Kuminga remains one of the most active names on the NBA market. According to Shams Charania, the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers are pursuing the Atlanta Hawks forward through a potential sign-and-trade.
Kuminga, a restricted free agent, would need both Atlanta’s cooperation and an agreement with his new team for a deal to happen. Charania said any move will likely follow that path, with the Lakers and Cavs required to align both with the Hawks and the player.
After being traded from Golden State to Atlanta during the 2025-26 season, Kuminga averaged 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 16 games with the Hawks. The Lakers remain interested after reshaping their roster around Luka Doncic, while Cleveland has reportedly discussed a possible sign-and-trade framework with Atlanta.
