In exchange for D’Angelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis, and three second-round selections, the Los Angeles Lakers purchased Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton from the Brooklyn Nets.
As the Nets rebuild, Finney-Smith has been on the trade block for a number of weeks. Finney-Smith, who is in Year 3 of a four-year, $55.5 million contract deal he signed with the Dallas Mavericks in 2022, is eligible to become a free agency this offseason.
The Lakers move $3.5 million below the second apron and project to have more than $11 million in luxury tax savings.
