Argentinian legend would remain in Varese as part of management after ending his career as a player

According to Italian newspaper La Prealpina, probabilities are growing that Argentinian legend Luis Scola will retire as a player at the end of the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Tournament, his fifth Olympics (which will be a joint-record with Teófilo Cruz, Teresa Edwards, Andrew Gaze, Adriana Moisés Pinto, Oscar Schmidt, Juan Carlos Navarro and possibly Pau Gasol).

Scola could return to Varese, for which he has played this season averaging 17.8 ppg and 6.7 rpg in Italian LBA, as part of the team’s management next season.
