La Laguna Tenerife announced the signing of TJ Bamba for the 2026/27 season. The 1.95-meter American wing arrives from Rasta Vechta, where he played last season in the German Bundesliga and the FIBA Europe Cup.
Bamba averaged 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists during his season in Germany. Born in the Bronx on January 6, 2001, Ahmed Tijani “TJ” Bamba spent part of his childhood in Senegal before returning to the United States and developing through high school and the NCAA.
In college, Bamba played for Washington State, Villanova and Oregon, earning a spot on the Big Ten Conference All-Defensive Team. After going undrafted in the NBA, he moved to Europe in 2025 with Rasta Vechta; this summer, he also played in the NBA Summer League with the Denver Nuggets.
