When the Washington Wizards defeated the Detroit Pistons earlier this week, they ended a nine-game losing run. On Wednesday, Washington reverted to their losing ways in Orlando. Towards the end of their 19-point defeat, the Wizards watched as the Magic ran away from them.
Kyle Kuzma was questioned about how things got away from Washington after the game. The veteran forward for the Wizards stated that defense comes first.
Kuzma said, “We can’t guard a stop sign.” That’s essentially the main idea behind it. Anyone can obtain anything they desire from us. That will hence most likely be the outcome until we alter that.”
With a 120.6 defensive rating, the Wizards are ranked 30th in the NBA on defense.
