Kostas Sloukas has undergone successful knee surgery and could return in time for a potential EuroLeague Final Four with Panathinaikos

Kostas Sloukas has successfully undergone knee surgery after suffering an injury during Panathinaikos’ latest practice. The procedure, an arthroscopic meniscus clean-up, was performed this morning by the club’s medical staff.

According to SDNA, the surgery was fully successful and Sloukas is expected to return to full action in around three weeks. The Greek guard will begin intensive physiotherapy in the coming days, targeting a possible EuroLeague Final Four appearance.

The 36-year-old had already undergone meniscus surgery in 2017 while playing for Fenerbahce. That season ended with a EuroLeague title, and Panathinaikos now hope to have their captain back for the decisive stage.
