The previous record belonged to the Boston Celtics, who came back from 24 points down against the Los Angeles Lakers in 2008. Other memorable Finals comebacks include the Houston Rockets against Orlando in 1995, the Dallas Mavericks against Miami in 2011 and the Indiana Pacers against Oklahoma City in 2025.
Jalen Brunson led New York with 36 points and 7 assists, while OG Anunoby added 33 points and sealed the win with a tip-in at 1.2 seconds left. The Knicks will now have their first title-clinching chance in Game 5 in San Antonio, one win away from their first NBA championship since 1973.
