According to the New York Post, the group was allegedly kicked out after a brief interaction with the Spurs star during the NBA Finals
A New York Knicks fan claims Victor Wembanyama had him removed from a $20,000 Ritz-Carlton penthouse during the NBA Finals, according to the New York Post.
The fan said one of his friends allegedly told Wembanyama: “Good luck tonight, big guy”. Minutes later, according to his account, the group was removed from the hotel.
The fan also claimed his group spent $750,000 on Game 4 tickets. The Ritz-Carlton and Wembanyama’s agent did not respond to the New York Post’s requests for comment.
The San Antonio Spurs star ruled out any partnership with sportsbooks and criticized fellow NBA players who promote gambling platforms: “I think it’s very sad to see some players promote it.”
