Red Star, in order to avoid the publication of further speculation and numerous falsehoods (there have been many in recent days), but also in order to protect the integrity of its coach Mr. Ioannis Sfairopoulos, informs its fans:
The player Shabazz Napier requested on 18.12.2023. to leave the club and informed the Red Star’s head coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos. The latter informed the public in a transparent manner of the fact on two close occasions.
As the club’s policy is not to keep anyone against their will, Red Star reached an amicable termination of the contract with Shabazz Napier, in which a clause is clearly included that the player can only play for the Italian club Olimpia Milano.
The mutual termination was signed on Wednesday 20 December 2023 in Belgrade with the consent of both parties.
