The Sacramento Kings said Domantas Sabonis is expected to miss four to five more weeks as he continues rehabbing his left knee. The team cited a partial meniscus tear.
Sabonis has not played since Nov. 16, and over the 13-game stretch without him the Kings went 3-10.
He was first sidelined on Nov. 19 for what was described as left knee soreness before testing revealed the tear.
It has been an injury-riddled season: Sabonis missed the opener with a preseason hamstring strain and later sat two games with a rib issue.
Before going down, he averaged 17.2 points and 12.3 rebounds, while rookie Maxime Raynaud has seen an expanded role.
