Barcelona celebrated its first official game of the season at Palau Blaugrana by setting a new club record in Euroleague with 108 points scored in the win against Valencia.
Despite the injuries at the point guard position, coach Peñarroya’s men dished out an impressive 24 assists, with the starting backcourt of Punter and Satoransky contributing seven each.
“First game at Palau and obviously, it was a much-needed win. Valencia is a good team but I’m glad we were able to protect our home court in the first game of the season. We just have to keep it going,” Punter said after the game. “I try to work hard on my game and am extra confident. My team believes in me, so we have to keep going.”
