Kevin Durant expressed sadness over Russell Westbrook’s career coming to an end, praising the journey of one of the most explosive players of his generation. The two were teammates with the Oklahoma City Thunder, sharing several important seasons in the NBA.
“I was a little sad. I thought Russ still had 5 or 6 more years left. He’s an athletic body that can still impact the game positively. Congrats to him on an iconic career,” Durant said.
KD’s comments reflect the respect he has for Westbrook, whose career has been defined by intensity, athleticism and historic achievements, including winning the NBA MVP award in 2017.
