Kazys Maksvytis becomes Fenerbahce’s new assistant coach after a year at Manisa. It’s his first assistant role in his career

Fenerbahce keeps strengthening after a treble season under Sarunas Jasikevicius, adding Kazys Maksvytis as a new assistant coach. The former Lithuanian NT and Zalgiris Kaunas coach will now support the Turkish powerhouse.

Maksvytis is already familiar with Turkey, having coached Manisa in TBSL and Basketball Champions League last season. This makes his transition into Fenerbahce’s staff smoother.

It’s the first assistant role in Maksvytis’ professional career after years as head coach in Lithuania and abroad, including leading Parma Perm in the VTB League from 2019 to 2022.
