Kawhi Leonard “widely expected” to re-sign with Clippers this offseason

Kawhi Leonard has a $36 million player option for next season he is expected to decline to enter free agency.

Per The Athletic, via RealGM, Kawhi Leonard is “widely expected” to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers this offseason, according to team sources and rival executives.
The Clippers have already signed Paul George to a four-year, $190 million extension, which gives the franchise stability around Leonard.
Leonard chose to sign with the Clippers in 2019 after winning a title with the Toronto Raptors and has been given considerable leeway by the franchise in terms of his work load and even where he lives.
