Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors are engaged in advanced discussions over a contract extension. According to league sources, the two sides are nearing an agreement to extend their relationship.
Leonard, who returned to Toronto after his lengthy stint with the Los Angeles Clippers, is eligible to sign an extension of up to two years worth more than $126 million.
A new deal would represent a significant commitment from the Canadian franchise to the veteran, who led Toronto to its first NBA championship in 2019. Negotiations are ongoing, however, and no agreement has been officially finalized at this stage.
