Karsiyaka coach Sarica says "we want to become BCL champions this year"

Pinar is the current BCL runners-up

‘We have dream about European cup. We want to be champion next year” said Sarica, head coach of Pinar Karşıyaka which had success to play finale two times in Basketball Champions League.

Pinar karşıyaka will compete in group B for BCL 2021-2022 season. Head coach Sarica plotted a road, evaluate opponents and informed pre-season games.

He mentioned that last year they achieved a great success and played the final which was an important move. ‘It’s not easy to play final series but we will do our best. Group games are important. It’s the entrance move of the season however there will be games rough games. There might be some games which don’t fit together but we want to play the games with our best and move to the next groups’ Sarica said.

Sarıca noted that Hapoel Jarusalem invests every year which is in the same group with Karsiyaka and continues’ Manresa is Spanish ecole, Arged Bmslam Stal is the champion of Poland. We can’t underestimate those teams. Our main goal is the advance to the next group and play final eight which will take us to the Final Four. As always we will fight until the last minute. We will battle with unity in each part of the court. This year our fans will be with us and this will be a great enthusiasm, a big advantage. We miss to play with our fans. With their support every will see a team with a great energy on the court.’

Sarica mentioned that they are not %100 ready as form and organization and continues ‘we are playing pre-season games and trying to adapt 7-8 players. Biggest difference is that we are playing with a different player. We all explain things we want on the court, try the moves about how we should play and want the players know us better. I can say that for the pre-season period our energy is too much with a higher capacity. But there are few more things we should solve. Amath had just come back from injury and James is still injured, these are the problems before the leagues start but I could say we will definitely be better when season starts.’
