Nurkic said that he did not want to play: I think she made me play

Jusuf Nurkic led the Portland Trail Blazers to the NBA playoffs with a 22 points and 21 rebounds performance against the Memphis Grizzliez.

The Bosnian big man did not want to step on the court because a few hours before the game he lost his grandmother due to coronavirus.

“I didn’t want to play,” Nurkic said after the game. “I think she made me play.”
