Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos first announced his intentions during an Instagram live session and, a few hours later, according to SDNA, turned his words into reality.
Juancho Hernangomez will not only remain with the Greek club for the final year of his current contract, but has also reached an agreement on a contract extension that will keep him with the Greens until 2030.
The 31-year-old Spanish forward will have completed seven consecutive seasons with Panathinaikos once his new deal expires.
Head coach Zeljko Obradovic will now have the challenge of keeping everyone satisfied in a crowded frontcourt that also features key players such as Isaac Bonga, Nigel Hayes-Davis, Dinos Mitoglou, Mathias Lessort and Guerschon Yabusele.
