Jordi Bertomeu is reportedly preparing a return to European basketball, according to Serbian outlet Meridian Sport. The former EuroLeague president and CEO is developing a business plan aimed at investing in undervalued clubs across Europe.
The 66-year-old executive intends to form the continent’s first multi-club basketball fund, partnering with investors to acquire stakes in teams and boost their youth systems and financial structure.
The plan’s initial phase targets the purchase of three clubs worth around €35 million from regions including the Balkans, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany — marking Bertomeu’s potential comeback to the European basketball scene.
