Joel Embiid discussed his physical condition during Philadelphia 76ers Media Day, explaining that he does not want to push too hard early in the season and instead plans to gradually build toward his best form.
“I’m good. I feel good. But I have to build. You have to be at your peak in April, May.” At 32, Embiid also stressed the importance of staying available throughout the season: “I want to play as much as possible. We have a plan: stay healthy and be at our best when the time comes.”
Last season, the 76ers center appeared in 38 games, averaging 26.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 48.9% from the field.
