Joel Embiid, still in uniform an hour after the game, addressing reporters now. “We missed a lot of shots,” Embiid said. “I thought for the most part we played hard … that’s the best team in the league.”

Asked about Harden, Embiid says, “We have an unfinished job. We haven’t won anything. We have a chance to win … I still believe we have what it takes to win.”

Embiid: “[I need] to find a way to be a better basketball player … add to my game to find a way to be a better player.”

Embiid says he is not going to overreact to the loss. Says as the best player on the team, every loss is on him. “It’s all on me. I have got to be better.” Declines to offer an opinion on what this team needs to improve.”

On Doc Rivers, Embiid says “I don’t know … I think he has done a fantastic job. We have gotten better over the years. I don’t make the decisions. I think he should be fine … he has been a great leader for all of us.” Notes the run of firings of quality coaches lately. “I’m glad I don’t make those decisions,” Embiid said.
