Following the 124-104 loss to the Boston Celtics, Joel Embiid admitted that his left knee injury has made him far less dominant than before. The reigning MVP managed just 15 points on 3-for-9 shooting, his lowest shot attempts in a non-injury game this season.
“I need to fix the problem and get back to my level,” Embiid said, having played only 18 of Philadelphia’s 55 games. With the Sixers struggling and Paul George confirming he is playing through pain with painkillers, Philadelphia’s playoff hopes largely hinge on Embiid’s recovery.
