Joe Dumars is finalizing an agreement to become the New Orleans Pelicans’ new president of basketball operations, sources told ESPN.
The Hall of Fame executive, who built the 2004 NBA champion Detroit Pistons, now returns to his native Louisiana. Dumars replaces David Griffin, recently dismissed after a disappointing tenure.
