Panathinaikos guard Jerian Grant released an interview with Matteo Andreani of Basket Inside in which, among other topics, he also discusses his year in Milan with coach Ettore Messina. These are his words on Olimpia’s current coach and the main difference with coach Ataman.
Jerian Grant on coach Ettore Messina: “In Milan it was my first year in the EuroLeague… Obviously it’s not easy to play for coach Ettore Messina, but he’s a good person”.
On the comparison with coach Ataman: “The difference is that with coach Ataman you have much more freedom. This has helped me and I believe it is the reason why many of his guards perform at their best”.
Jerian Grant is considered one of the best defenders in Europe this season at Panathinaikos, but he is also productive on the offensive end: 9.2 points and 3.6 assists are his EuroLeague averages.
