Jeff Van Gundy reportedly a ‘leading’ candidate if Houston will replace Mike D’Antoni

Van Gundy has not coached an NBA team since 2007.

Jeff Van Gundy will “likely (be) leading the way” as a candidate for the head coaching job of the Houston Rockets should they not retain Mike D’Antoni, according to The Athletic’s Sam Amick.

The last head coaching job Van Gundy had in the NBA was with the Rockets from 2003 until 2007; former Knicks coach has since been in broadcasting and also involved as a coach with USA Basketball.
