Jean Montero hints at Valencia exit: “Our paths may part”

Jean Montero has hinted that his future may be away from Valencia Basket after leading the club to the second Spanish League title in its history.

During the trophy celebrations at Roig Arena, with fans chanting for him to stay, Montero said: “I’ve given everything I had for the club, for all of you, for the love of the sport, of basketball.”

Then came the key line: “Valencia will always live in my heart, and even though our paths may have to part, Valencia will always be in my heart.” The 22-year-old enjoyed a standout EuroLeague season, averaging 14.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals, while also winning the Rising Star award.
