The Cuban big man will reinforce the team throughout preseason and the start of the official campaign
Valencia Basket has announced the return of Jasiel Rivero. The Cuban power forward has signed a one-month contract with the Spanish club.
Rivero had been practicing with the team since August 24 to cover for players away on national-team duty. He was a free agent after parting ways with Crvena Zvezda this summer.
As noted by Valencia, Rivero previously played for the club from 2021 to 2023, averaging 10.8 points, 4 rebounds and 12.2 PIR across 105 appearances.
The former Virtus Bologna captain revealed that he is no longer working with the club and also commented on its new roster.
The forward’s protective splint has been removed, allowing him to return to team practices sooner than expected.
