Jamahl Mosley, Jason Kidd, Terry Stotts expected to be candidates for Dallas coaching job

Mavs owner Mark Cuban said that the team will proceed first on hiring a new GM

The Dallas Mavericks are the latest NBA franchise active on the coaching market after the shocking departure of Rick Carlisle. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon identified Jamahl Mosley, Jason Kidd and Terry Stotts as three probable candidates for the job, after Mavs owner Mark Cuban said that the priority is to appoint a new GM.

Mosley has been an assistant coach with the Mavericks since 2014 and is known to be close to Luka Doncic. Kidd won his lone NBA title with the Mavs in 2011 and is now serving as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers. Stotts was previously an assistant coach with the Mavericks under Carlisle before he became head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers.
