Jalen Duren will not attend the Detroit Pistons’ Media Day or the start of training camp. The All-NBA center has so far declined a fully guaranteed five-year, $200 million offer.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Duren and the Pistons remain at a stalemate in restricted free agency. The center will miss Monday’s Media Day as well as the opening of training camp.
Detroit has reportedly offered Duren a five-year, $200 million fully guaranteed contract, but the player has yet to accept the proposal. Thursday represents the key deadline, with Duren also facing a decision on a one-year, $9.6 million qualifying offer.
