The Dallas guard’s future is back in the spotlight after Fischer’s latest comments
Kyrie Irving’s future with the Dallas Mavericks is once again a topic of discussion ahead of the next NBA season.
According to Jake Fischer, Irving’s presence on the Mavericks’ roster for opening night should not be considered guaranteed.
“I don’t necessarily believe that Kyrie Irving will be on the Mavericks roster on opening night,” Fischer said. The comment adds more speculation around the guard’s future in Dallas.
After receiving multiple two-way offers, the guard has chosen Denver, which will need to clear a roster spot to complete the signing.
Washington reportedly explored a potential deal involving Duren and Davis, but Detroit does not appear interested in the proposed scenario.
Detroit has revised its five-year proposal for the center, who now has 24 hours to choose between signing the deal or taking the qualifying offer.
New York is reportedly much more interested in a deal closer to four years and $200 million than the four-year, $276 million maximum extension Towns is eligible to sign.
