Slovenian coach Jaka Lakovic will remain at the helm of Dreamland Gran Canaria through the 2026/2027 season. The extension was made official during a presentation at the Cabildo Insular de Gran Canaria, which also confirmed the renewals of sporting director Willy Villar and club president Sitapha Savané.
Lakovic joined in 2022 after a successful stint with ratiopharm Ulm. In his debut season, he led Gran Canaria to its first continental title, winning the 7Days EuroCup. With 167 games coached across all competitions, Lakovic has become a key figure in the club’s modern era.
