Jabari Parker stayed on the bench for the entire game as Partizan lost to Virtus Bologna in Belgrade, a decision that raised questions given his status within the team. Head coach Mirko Ocokoljić stated clearly that it was a technical choice, based solely on Parker’s performance in practice ahead of the game.
Speaking after the loss, Parker explained that the situation was not about him personally and emphasized his professional attitude. However, the former NBA No. 2 draft pick also hinted at broader considerations regarding his future, stressing the importance of being on the court.
“I have to take care of my career, but I remain a professional,” Parker said, adding that he sees himself as one of the top players in Europe and that his focus remains on supporting his teammates.
