The Memphis Grizzlies say Morant will be re-evaluated in 14 days as he continues recovering from a left elbow UCL sprain

Ja Morant will miss at least two more weeks after spraining the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow on Jan. 21, 2026. The Memphis Grizzlies said his rehab is progressing, but he still feels discomfort.

The team added Morant will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The two-time All-Star has played just 20 games this season, averaging 19.5 points, 7.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds.

Memphis also announced Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will have surgery Thursday to address a misalignment in his right pinky finger. A recovery timeline will follow the procedure; Caldwell-Pope is at 8.4 points, 2.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 51 games.
