Italian prospect Jason Nistrio commits to The Woodstock Academy

The 2007-born big man will continue his development in the United States after playing for Bassano, Derthona and Italy’s youth national teams

Italian prospect Jason Nistrio has committed to The Woodstock Academy and will continue his career in the United States, his agent Mario Scotti announced.

The 6-foot-10 center, born in 2007, played for Basket Bassano in Italy’s Serie C and represented Derthona in the NextGen Cup, averaging 4.5 points and 2.8 rebounds across four appearances in the 2025-26 season.

Nistrio also played for Italy at the latest FIBA U20 European Championship, posting 2.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.9 minutes per game. The Woodstock Academy will be an important next step in his path toward college basketball.
