For the second year in a row, Unicaja Malaga has won the Intercontinental Cup. In the 2025 edition, the Spaniards once again defeated the G-League United, 71-61, claiming the trophy in the tournament held in Singapore.
The game started better for the G-League side, who closed the first quarter ahead 21-11. However, Malaga’s change of pace came in the third quarter, when the Spaniards went on a decisive 23-5 run that sealed the outcome of the game.
Unicaja’s top scorer was Killian Tillie, who posted 14 points and was named MVP of the game. He was followed by Kalinoski with 12 points and Perry with 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
For G-League United, Shackelford’s 17 points and Hunt’s 14 were not enough.
