After a shoulder thrombosis scare, Victor Wembanyama turned his summer into a quest for growth. The San Antonio Spurs phenom trained at a Shaolin temple in China, practiced Kung Fu, and later joined Hakeem Olajuwon in Texas to master footwork and balance. “It was life-changing,” Wembanyama said. “I’ve learned lessons nothing else could have taught me.”
Olajuwon helped him refine moves like the Dream Shake and a new jump hook, calling him “a big guard who can play all five positions.” Spurs coach Mitch Johnson praised his dedication: “He’s constantly finding ways to evolve, physically and mentally.”
Now stronger and sharper, Wemby is ready for the court. “Nobody trained like I did this summer,” he said. “I’ve maxed out everything I could. Now, I just need to play basketball.”
