Important and decisive days for the future of Segafredo’s Virtus Bologna. The launch of the new Arena, then the summit in Barcelona next week and finally the arrival of the EuroLeague CEO in Bologna for the end of the regular season. The future is being written now.

As known, today at Palazzo d’Accursio from 12.30 pm, the mayor of Bologna Matteo Lepore and the president of Virtus Bologna Massimo Zanetti will present the project of the Segafredo Arena, the fixed and definitive one: a building with 12,000 seats and a total cost of 40 million euros according to what was illustrated by Il Carlino today.

Always according to Il Carlino, the works could then start soon and conclude in the autumn of 2024.

But that’s not all. According to what was stated yesterday on IcaroTv, during the Basket on-ER program, EuroLeague CEO Marshall Glickman will meet next week in Barcelona with Luca Baraldi, CEO of Virtus. The same Glickman is then expected in Bologna, at the current Segafredo Arena, for Virtus-Olimpia on April 13th, the last round of EuroLeague.
