Ibrahimovic reply to LeBron: “Athletes unite the world, politicians divide it. This was my message”

After his initial stance and the subsequent reply from Lakers star LeBron James, AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has clarified his position on the issue of athletes involved in political discourses.

“Athletes unite the world while politicians divide it: athletes should be athletes, while politicians should do politics. In my sport there are athletes from everywhere in the world and they are all welcome. We’re not good in other stuff: this was my message. Nobody was thinking of racism”, Ibrahimovic said.
