Alperen Şengün is expected to miss 10 to 14 days after spraining his right ankle on Saturday against the Mavericks.
According to Ime Udoka, the injury happened just over a minute into the game when Şengün landed awkwardly while battling for a loose ball.
Udoka said the Rockets will re-evaluate Şengün at the end of the week before setting a firmer timetable.
“Probably in the two-week range… you’re looking at 10 to 14 days,” he said, emphasizing swelling, pain tolerance, and mobility.
Şengün had recently returned after missing Houston’s final two games of 2025 with left calf tightness.
He is averaging 22.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 6.7 assists, anchoring Houston’s offense as a premier passing big.
Steven Adams returned Monday vs Phoenix after missing two games with a right ankle sprain.
His availability provides frontcourt depth while Şengün is sidelined.
