Hornets’ Miles Bridges pleads not guilty in felony domestic violence case in LA

Bridges' next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 19

Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges pleaded not guilty Wednesday to felony domestic violence charges in Los Angeles tied to the alleged beating of his girlfriend last month, as reported by the Charlotte’s Observer

Bridges, 24, has been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office with one felony count of injuring a child’s parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death

Under California law, a felony domestic assault conviction carries a maximum five-year prison sentence and up to five years of probation. Each child abuse charge carries a maximum six-year sentence
