After being arrested on Wednesday – and charged with a felony – Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges has been released on bail (set at $130,000) and is now scheduled to appear on court on July 20. Bridges’ wife, Mychelle Johnson, shared a series of photographs on Instagram showing injuries to her face and body in addition to a discharge document from a hospital emergency department, accusing her husband of physical abusing her.
When asked about the images and allegations, NBA spokesman Mike Bass told CNN, “We are in the process of gathering more information.”
“The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time,” the team said in a statement earlier this week.
