For the first time since 2005, LeBron James isn’t in the starting five, with coaches set to decide his fate

The NBA unveiled All-Star starters and LeBron James was not among the West’s starting group.
Luka Doncic led Western Conference voting, joined by Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama and Stephen Curry.

James, a record 21-time All-Star starter dating back to 2005, was never close to cracking the top five in the West.
He missed the first 14 games with sciatica, then started slowly, including the end of his 1,297-game streak of 10+ points in Toronto.

In the East, Giannis Antetokounmpo led voting and starts with Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Cade Cunningham and Jaylen Brown.
Reserves will be named Sunday by coaches, and the game will use a “Team USA vs the World” format, with commissioner Adam Silver able to add players if needed.

In the East, we have Brunson, Giannis, Maxey, Cunningham and Jaylen Brown. In the West, we have Luka Doncic, SGA, Curry, Jokic and Wembanyama. After 21 consecutive selections, LeBron James is out of the starting line-up.
