The Miami Heat have agreed to trade center Thomas Bryant to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for a future second-round pick swap, sources tell ESPN. The Pacers, dealing with injuries to big men Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman, sought depth in the trade market and landed Bryant, who is averaging 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11 minutes per game this season.
Bryant, in his eighth NBA season, signed a one-year contract with the Heat during the offseason and becomes trade-eligible on Sunday, when the deal can be finalized. The Pacers hope Bryant’s experience will stabilize their frontcourt rotation.
