The Miami Heat have activated their club option on Nikola Jovic for the 2024–25 season. Teams have until October 31 to select rookie scale alternatives for the first-round draft classes of 2021 and 2022.
Jovic saw little NBA play as a rookie. In the 15 NBA games he appeared, he scored 5.5 points on average. Jovic, who represented Serbia at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, stood out. He scored 10.1 points per game and shot 56.6% overall, including 42.3% from three-point range. This season, the Heat view the 20-year-old as a crucial part in their progress.
