Heat center Bam Adebayo says he wants to be remembered as a top-5 center, as a “difference-maker”

The 23-year-old signed a five-year max extension over the offseason, which will kick-off in 2021-22.

On the eve of a new NBA season, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo discussed with media his ambitions within basketball, saying he wants to change the game with his versatility on both ends of the court.

“I feel like I’m trying to change basketball; being a center, being able to play both sides of the ball and being able to pass as well as I can, that’s a difference-maker on a team, especially at the center spot, so it’s respect at all levels,” said Adebayo on Friday to reporters, adding that he wants to be remembered as a top-five center or power forward by the end of his career.
