The Atlanta Hawks announced that rookie forward Zaccharie Risacher will remain sidelined for at least another week due to a strained left adductor. Risacher, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has already missed three games and is “progressing in his rehabilitation,” according to a team statement.
In 39 games this season, the 19-year-old Frenchman has averaged 10.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting 28.1 percent from beyond the arc. Risacher’s highlight performance came on November 6, when he scored 33 points in a win over the New York Knicks.
Meanwhile, the Hawks welcomed back forward Jalen Johnson, their second-leading scorer with 19.4 points per game, after a five-game absence due to shoulder inflammation.
