Hapoel Tel Aviv’s Tyler Ennis Suffers Torn Achilles, Likely Out for the Season

Ennis expected to miss the season

Hapoel Tel Aviv have officially announced that guard Tyler Ennis has suffered a torn Achilles tendon.

Ennis was injured just 43 seconds into action during Hapoel’s victory over Dubai. While the club has not provided an official timetable for his return, the Canadian guard is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

This marks the second Achilles injury of Ennis’ career, as he previously tore the same tendon during the 2020–21 season while playing for Türk Telekom.

Despite the setback, Ennis boasts a long and distinguished career at both the NBA and European levels. He has previously suited up for the reigning EuroLeague champions Fenerbahçe, and was selected 14th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft.

During his NBA career, Ennis played for the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Lakers.
