Hapoel Tel Aviv is reportedly in talks with Jacob Toppin, the former New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks forward, ahead of next season.

According to Sport5, the Israeli club is working to bring Toppin to Tel Aviv. The player, brother of Indiana Pacers forward Obi Toppin, is considered Jewish and therefore would not count as a foreign player.

Toppin has reportedly been in contact with Hapoel for around six months and has shown willingness to move to Israel. After going undrafted in 2023, he played for the Knicks and later joined the Hawks.

His latest stint in Atlanta was affected by a shoulder injury, which required surgery and ended his season. Now a free agent, Toppin could become an intriguing addition for the Hapoel Tel Aviv project.
